Google's $85 billion capital spend spurred by cloud, AI demand

Alphabet said Wednesday it will spend $85 billion in capital expenditures in 2025 — up from the $75 billion it said it would at the beginning of the year. The increase comes as the company tries to get more infrastructure to meet a backlog of customers for its cloud services.
